OUR TAKE

How we assess Loxo

We look at Loxo on the things that decide a buy — its pipeline, automation, sourcing, pricing and what users say in aggregated reviews. Where we've used a tool ourselves across Venture Harbour's portfolio companies, we lean on that experience too. The aim is a view of how Loxo holds up in real hiring, not how it reads on a feature list.

✓ PROS
  • Built-in sourcing database reduces dependence on separate tools
  • AI matching is useful for rediscovering candidates
  • ATS, CRM and outreach live in one workflow
  • Good fit for proactive search and headhunting teams
  • Broad enough to replace several sourcing-stack tools
✕ CONS
  • Reporting is weaker than the sourcing story
  • Pricing becomes opaque above the basic tiers
  • More complex than a lightweight agency ATS
  • Not ideal if applicants, not sourcing, are the main channel

Our verdict on Loxo

Loxo is best understood as an ATS and CRM wrapped around a sourcing engine. The pitch is talent intelligence: built-in profile data, candidate discovery, AI matching and outreach, so recruiters can find and rediscover people without stitching together as many separate tools.

That makes it strong for agencies and search firms where sourcing is the job. If your team spends the day building lists, matching profiles and warming passive candidates, Loxo’s database and AI layer matter more than another polished pipeline screen.

The trade-off is reporting and packaging. Basic plans are often estimated around $119–$169 per user per month, while higher tiers move into custom pricing, and the reporting does not match the strength of the sourcing workflow. If you need executive-grade agency analytics, test that hard in the demo. Confirm current pricing with Loxo directly.

Loxo in depth

Pipeline & automation

Loxo scores 8.0/10 for ease of use — workable, though it takes a little learning. Hiring automation is yes, so stage changes can fire rejection emails, screening questionnaires and manager nudges automatically. We weigh this on how the pipeline and automation actually work in practice, not on a feature list.

Sourcing & candidate reach

Sourcing and candidate-database access is yes, headlined by built-in sourcing tooling. Sourcing reach is a genuine strength here.

Collaboration & reporting

Collaboration is solid; the reporting is more basic than the analytics-led platforms. Interview scheduling is yes and a branded career site is no.

Pricing & integrations

Loxo uses per-seat pricing with no free tier. Integrations and API access are yes, so it slots into an existing HR stack. Pricing shown is approximate — always confirm current pricing on the vendor's site.

Who Loxo is (and isn't) for

Best for: Agencies and search firms that want sourcing data, AI matching and outreach in one platform. Where it's the wrong call: reporting is weaker than the sourcing story; pricing becomes opaque above the basic tiers; more complex than a lightweight agency ats; not ideal if applicants, not sourcing, are the main channel. If those trade-offs don't touch how you hire, Loxo earns its 84/100 Index Score.

Loxo FAQ

How much does Loxo cost?

Loxo pricing is not fully transparent. Basic tiers are commonly estimated around $119–$169/user/mo, with custom pricing above that. Confirm current pricing with Loxo directly.

Who is Loxo best for?

Loxo is best for recruiting agencies and search firms that need built-in sourcing data, AI matching, CRM and outreach. It is less compelling if most candidates already come through job ads and reporting depth is the main need.

What is Loxo weakest at?

Reporting. Loxo’s sourcing and AI matching are stronger than its analytics, so agencies that run heavily from dashboards should test reports before signing.
